Indonesia Business Conditions Predicted to Fall Quarter 2013

Central Statistics Agency (BPS) predicts Business Tendency Index (BTI) in the first quarter 2013 amounted to 104.44 means that the general business conditions in the first quarter of 2013 are expected to increase compared to the fourth quarter of 2012. However, the level of optimism of the business in Indonesia in view of the potential of the business in the first quarter 2013 expected to be lower than the fourth quarter of 2012 (ITB value of 105.29). This was disclosed by Head of BPS, in the event Suryamin CBS Press Release (5/2).
 According Suryamin, despite the bad weather persists in a few months and still has not recovered to the global crisis but business conditions Indonesia still optimistic. Judging from its constituent variables, business conditions in the first quarter of 2013 is expected to increase due to an increase in domestic orders with a value of 104.86 ITB. "In addition, there was also an increase in the selling price of the domestic product (with the index value of 104.51) and increased orders for input goods (ITB value of 103.22)" Suryamin said.

However, according Suryamin, orders from abroad are still in business tendency index variables forming stagnant conditions (index value of 100.07). "It is still not recovering global crisis in some countries" explains Suryamin.

Meanwhile, Suryamin added for orders from the highest increase in the country is estimated to occur in agriculture, livestock, forestry and fisheries (index value of 117.39) reverse the decline occurred in the manufacturing sector (index value of 99.08). "This is due to the agricultural sector will begin the harvest in the months so order products sector has increased" said Suryamin.
